The german discussion about the challenge of transferring research results into intervention actions in teaching and learning arises from several funding lines of the German Ministry of Education and Research. Research designs often end with generating and presenting their results and leave the transfer question to practitioners. Academic Developers work as intermediators between research (results) and teaching and learning practitioners.

This contribution looks at this intermediation task with a methodological perspective of research designs. Starting with Stokes quadrant model methodological questions referring to research aims, roles, intervention designs and outreach of Academic Developers will be discussed with the session participants.
