TAHIRAH WALKER is a Teaching and Learning Consultant with the University of Pittsburgh’s Center for Teaching and Learning. Before coming to Pitt, she was an Instructor at Penn State and directed the Penn State Greater Allegheny Educational Partnership Program connecting pre-service teachers to fieldwork opportunities at local schools and youth programs. Tahirah is currently completing a PhD in Rhetoric at Duquesne University and holds a Master of Science degree in Educational Technology Management from Carnegie Mellon University. Her research interests include free speech, educational policy, and communication ethics. Tahirah has a strong commitment to community engagement and diversity. She provides course design and learning support to faculty in a variety of disciplines. Tahirah is fluent in French and Haitian Creole and teaches Public Speaking for the University of Pittsburgh Department of Communication.
